Women’s Soccer Hosts MVC Tournament Opener on Monday

first_img WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women’s soccer team hosts the Valparaiso Crusaders on Monday in its first-round matchup in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The Crusaders (2-14-1, 2-5-0 MVC) will need to earn their first road win of 2019 in order to extend their season; Valpo is 0-9 away from home this year. The Bulldogs lost their last match to Illinois State, 1-0. The result ended Drake’s four-game winning streak. Valparaiso was on the outside looking in entering its final game of the season, but the Crusaders topped Northern Iowa, 3-0, to earn a berth in the conference tournament.
