He recorded 15 outs on the ground and did not allow a runner to reach third base until late in the ninth inning. Wesneski finished with a career-high eight strikeouts and did not walk or hit a batter. He needed just 97 pitches to finish off KSU in a game that lasted exactly two hours of game time. His lone run allowed happened with two outs in the ninth due to an error on a potential game-ending double-play ball.
